Force

When we were young, our parents send us to primary school, they forced us to study, We understand the reason behind. When I'm in secondary school, same thing happen, all singaporean kids will just have to go thru this 10years of studies atleast. When I'm 17, I'm lost. I don't know how because I couldn't follow onto the normal route like others, getting into a Junior College. The future is open now for me to choose, yet i did not make a choice but to follow the crowd. Ended up in ngee ann poly Electronic and Computer Engineering. I wasn't clear what is this course about and went in blindly. There goes 3 years and I graduated without knowing how did i do it. This is Singapore, route is planned properly for every kid. Army is jus another route planned by government. 2 years gone in army and I got a seat in NTU's Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Knowing that is not what I want, but every parents in Singapore just think that Degree is an important paper for every kid, a key to the future. Past 22years been following things that planned for me nicely but now i've reach the limit. I know I need this cert but yet I've no interest in it. If I'm allow to travel thru time, I would want to travel to before poly and re-choose a course that atleast I'm interested in. But that will never happen. So should I continue in NTU and maybe in future, I would write a post like this, hoping to have time machine again. Or should I go for something I really want and maybe still will regret and need a time machine? Life? Hais!
